Deaf Child Crossing

Nine-year-old Megan, who is deaf, is excited when Cindy, who is hearing, moves into her neighborhood. Cindy learns sign language, and the two quickly become inseparable best friends. When the two go to summer camp together, Cindy starts to feel left out when Megan starts spending all of her time with Lizzie, a girl at camp who is also deaf. Megan starts to resent that Cindy is always trying to help her even when she does not need her help. The two girls need to learn what it means to be a friend before they can mend their differences.
